Meet the juntos 4-h team

I believe every child deserves a positive youth development experience. Juntos 4-H brings youth and families together to learn about the education system and to explore post secondary options in a safe and welcoming learning environment.

I work with Juntos 4-H to promote all the educational opportunities for my community. As I had help in my educational journey, I want to give back also!

It is my honor to be part of the Juntos team and tell the Juntos story!

Caren has a passion for working with youth and seeing them succeed. She is especially interested in bringing quality programs to all youth in Clinton County. Juntos is one such program, helping youth achieve their personal and academic goals.

I am motivated to participate in Juntos 4-H program because I believe in the power of collective action to bring about positive change. By contributing my skills and time, I hope to help build a stronger, more connected community where everyone can thrive.

Empower the Latino Youth to achieve a Post Secondary Education

The Juntos 4-H program helps Hispanic families become more actively involved in their students' education. It also gives participant youths the opportunity to learn about the different post-secondary paths, develop leadership and personal skills and help them get involved in the community.

Dubois County has a diverse community including Latinos. With the assistance of the bilingual program assistant, I want to make sure they receive equal assistance from Purdue Extension.

I want our county 4-H program to serve EVERYONE.

My motivation for working with Juntos 4-H youth is I enjoy getting to know the youth and their career and areas of interest and help them make local community and/or campus connections to broaden their experiences in 4-H and beyond.

Enjoy giving kids opportunities to experience different things in life

May the new generation of young Latinos have access to all the resources needed to achieve their life goals and, as a result, succeed!

The greatest sign of success for being a student leader is to be able to say " The students are now working as if I did not exist."

I am motivated to open doors for youth, no matter their circumstances. Juntos 4-H opens the doors to colleges and careers that some of our young people didn't even know existed!

Positive Impact: Helping families support their children's academic success can have a significant impact on children's lives and future. Helping children have access to quality education and develop strong academic skills is one way to make a difference in society.    Strong families: Working in a program that strengthens the relationship between family and education can help build families that are more united and committed to the educational development of their children. This not only benefits the children, but also strengthens the family unit as a whole.   Personal satisfaction: Seeing the progress and achievements of students as well as the positive impact the program has on their lives, provides great personal satisfaction. Knowing that you are contributing to improving children's educational opportunities and building a more promising future for them is a powerful motivation to continue working on these types of programs.

I love helping high school students to discover their gifts and to achieve their dreams for adulthood.

It is an exciting opportunity to reach a new audience in an effective way. A community member approached me and felt like Juntos could help meet the needs she was seeing with an underserved population in our community.

I read an Indiana Juntos article in the 4-H Foundation newsletter and knew this was the club I wanted for my Latino neighbors.
