Purdue Extension Community Development (CD) and the Purdue Center for Regional Development (PCRD) is ecstatic to announce the release of our Digital Ready Businesses (DRB) app (only for Android devices; iOS coming soon)! This app is geared towards small businesses and entrepreneurs looking to improve their online presence by providing classes in the form of short video lectures. The courses are all beginner level and easy to follow along for those who do not have a lot of experience incorporating technology into their business. With this Digital Ready Businesses app, businesses will be able to utilize websites, social media, email marketing and other online platforms to create successful business strategies.

Educational Programming

The DRB educational programming is intended for small business owners and/or their employees. The two courses currently available on the app are Introduction to Email Marketing and Email Marketing Analytics.

  • Introduction to Email Marketing: This course teaches the basics of email marketing, how to improve email marketing campaigns, and tips for gaining and keeping subscribers.
  • Email Marketing Analytics: This course explains what some important email marketing indicators are, and has exercises featuring these indicators to ensure you have a firm grasp on them.

Along with these two courses, the app also has a Resources tab. This tab will have handouts related to the videos as well as higher level content for those who wish to continue growing their business intelligence.

The app is free to download and the first course is on us! Participants can take the Introduction to Email Marketing course at no cost and decide if they want to continue with the other courses. After the free course, it’s only $9.99 for each additional course.

Coming Soon

The app has more exciting things still to come!

Future courses that will be added in the upcoming year:

  • Introduction to Social Media Platforms
  • Social Media Plan & Content
  • Social Media Analytics & Marketing
  • Claiming Your Bubble
  • Planning Your Website

This app preps participants to apply for a potential certification or badge in the future, so stay tuned!
