Substance Use Education Series
Misinformation and stigma about substance use makes it difficult to change prevention, treatment, and recovery outcomes. Purdue Extension Health and Human Sciences has a free playlist of videos that offer introductory education about substance use to help change this stigma. These videos address several concerns that are applicable across many substances and situations, but also some of the concerns unique to specific populations and substances.
The playlist consists of two series:
- The Opioid Education Series.
- The Stimulant Education Series

The Opioid Crisis has been an ongoing public health concern in the United States. The Opioid Education Series offers 9 videos about this important issue, divided into 3 topics with specific education for certain populations or settings:
- Topic 1: Parents of Adolescents (3 videos)
- Topic 2: Opioids in the Workplace (3 videos)
- Topic 3: Opioids in Healthcare (3 videos)
It is recommended to watch each of the videos for a given population or setting in order.
