Purdue Extension Harrison County participated in the Harrison County Fall Fair with Education Stations on Friday, September 25 and Saturday, September 26. There were 5 education Stations set up. Pet Nutrition, Chick Embryology, Honey Bees, Water Quality and Educational Posters. Our supporting organizations were Soil & Water, Master Gardeners, Bee Boy Honey, and Heart and Soul Florist. We would also like to recognize our 4-H Member Elizabeth Uhl who helped with the Ponies and at the Pet Nutrition Station. Also special thanks to 4-H Volunteer Alex Wilkins and our Program Assistant Anna Denny for all of their hard work.
We also honored our 4-H seniors. We had a total of 36 seniors this year. Of the 36 seniors, 22 were Ten Year members. Two seniors received an award for Tenure, sponsored by Farm Bureau. They were Ariel Camm and Jocelyn Englemen.
It was a very successful weekend. We had approximately 500 people check us out on Friday and 1200 – 1500 people on Saturday!
