The 4-H Crops project allows youth the opportunity to explore hands-on crop production. With the opportunity to grow a variety of crops including corn, soybeans, oats, and wheat, youth learn about the different components of agriculture production. While learning and applying practices to control insects and disease, harvesting, storage, and marketing youth are gain valuable life skills such as wise use of resources, keeping records, conflict resolution, and personal safety.
