may-24-2016.jpg

The first Leadership Jasper County class graduated recently. Sixteen individuals representing a wide variety of careers and all parts of the county were enrolled in the class, and over 40 local representatives assisted in the program, serving on panels and as speakers, advisory board members and more. Additionally, seven Extension Educators were involved as presenters at sessions.

Class member Brad Cozza, director of the Jasper County Airport, challenged the Leadership Jasper County (LJC) class to continue to grow and serve. He used the LJC acronym to signify Listen, be Judicious and Committed to the community you live in. Kendell Culp, Chair of the County Commissioners, congratulated the class and encouraged them to become more involved in the county and encourage others to become involved in the class.
