West Lafayette Parks Survey Results Are In

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – The West Lafayette Parks & Recreation Department revealed the results of a survey being used to improve services.

Monday night was the first of two meetings to review the results.

The department conducted the survey earlier this year. It asked questions about individual opinions on services, programs and facilities provided by the department.

More than 800 people responded to the survey. Overall, people were satisfied with the parks. Many said they would like to see playground equipment updated and the addition of splash pads.

“I appreciate the parks department very much. My wife and I use it,” said David Ayers, a resident. “We ride our bikes a lot down Happy Hollow and also in the Celery Bog area. We’ve used it quite frequently, both walking and biking, so we are frequent users of the park.”

There will be another opportunity to hear about the survey and give input Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the West Lafayette Public Library.
