Jessica was born and raised in Romney, Indiana, where she grew up involved in 4-H and FFA, and showed cattle and swine competitively at the highest levels. After graduating from McCutcheon High School, she attended Purdue University where she attained a Bachelor’s of Science in both Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Communications. For many years, Jessica worked as a Crop Insurance Administrative Assistant with Midwest Ag Finance and Beacon Ag Group, but has recently been working in the Special Education Department at Rushville Elementary. She is excited to be presented with the opportunity to work with Rush County Extension and her community.

Jessica and her husband, Ryan, moved to Rush County twenty years ago, and have since rooted themselves and their two children, Kelby (17) and Hayden (14), in the rural community. She and her family enjoy spending their time together by competitively showing livestock at the national level and raising Hereford cattle. She, personally, enjoys adding to her collection of authentic turquoise jewelry, traveling, and watching her children succeed in their numerous endeavors, especially 4-H and FFA. Jessica looks forward to interacting with community members, area agriculturalists, and extension educators in this new position.
