Cheri Brown is the Community Development Extension Educator for Blackford County. As a member of the Extension team in both Jay and Blackford Counties, she has provided services in the areas of Health and Human Sciences, as well as Community Development. Cheri has a passion for helping people discover win-win solutions to their challenges at the individual, family and community levels. This solution focused approach is embedded in programs like Strengthening Families and Enhancing the Value of Public Spaces.

Cheri’s background is in Social Work. She earned her B.S. from Anderson University and her Master of Social Work degree from Indiana University. Her previous experiences working in public schools, at the university level and in the field of community development provide a solid foundation for her role as an Extension Educator.
