Alejandra Durán Trinidad
Dr. Alejandra Durán Trinidad is the Latino Community Childcare Extension Educator for Purdue University. She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Interpersonal Communication with a focus on mentoring and a Master’s in Health Communication, both from Purdue University, where she specialized in communicating with diverse populations. Alejandra leverages her experience in research, conducting community needs assessments, program development, and delivering training to create meaningful impact.
With over six years of experience in college instruction, mentoring, and community outreach, she is dedicated to fostering environments that empower everyone within the communities she serves. Alejandra looks forward to using her expertise to build partnerships across the 7-county Wabash Heartland Region in support of a stronger early childhood education ecosystem, benefiting Latino families and the larger childcare landscape in our region. She aspires to be a trusted resource for community members by offering support and creating safe spaces for them to connect and thrive.
