The annual Perry-Spencer Crop Day program will be held Thursday, March 8 at the St. Meinrad Community Center. Registration and sponsor displays will open at 5:15 PM CST with the meal beginning at 6:00 PM. Crop Day is a joint effort between Purdue Extension and Soil & Water Conservation Districts in Perry and Spencer Counties. The featured speaker this year is Dr. Jason Ackerson, Soil Scientist with the Purdue Department of Agronomy, presenting Efficient Soil Sampling for Precision Soil Management. This year’s program will also feature the Office of Indiana State Chemist Dicamba Update. This topic is required for any applicator planning to apply Dicamba products in 2018. PARP and CCH credit will be available.
The cost to attend is $5.00 per person, which includes the meal. Those wishing to receive PARP credit are reminding to also bring their $10 PARP fee and applicator number. Pre-registration is required by February 23.
