Indiana 4-H Leadership Summit Offered Locally

September 24, 2020

The 2020 Indiana 4-H Leadership Summit will be a hybrid model – a combination of virtual and in-person! The Summit will be held on Saturday, November 21, 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Central time. To participate locally, we need to know if there is interest in offering this in Perry County. In the past, no one has wanted to drive to the Indianapolis area for program that starts at 8 a.m. Now you can stay closer to home and participate in this great program.

The Summit will continue to offer high-quality educational sessions presented virtually via Zoom by experts around the state and facilitated on-site by County Extension Professionals with in-person youth and adult volunteers. We will cover the cost for this program, if enough people register to attend. Registration is completed by contacting the Extension office at 812-547-7084 or boerste@purdue.edu. Let us know how many are attending. 4-H volunteers and youth in grades 7-12 are invited to attend. Non-4-H members are welcome, so spread the word. You must register by October 29.

Please see the attached schedule outline for the 4-H Leadership Summit. Note that times listed on the schedule are Eastern time. Additional details about each session will be provided as they become available. We are excited to announce that Michelle Cummings will be our keynote and capnote speaker during the 4-H Leadership Summit. Michelle will share her enthusiasm and passion for positive youth development, while providing a number of activities to keep everyone actively engaged. You can learn more about Michelle at: https://training-wheels.com/resources/who-we-are/. Also at the Summit, recognition for the Indiana 4-H Volunteer Awards of Excellence winners and Tenured 4-H Volunteers will be conducted during lunch time.
