New 4-H Member Information

Welcome to the Starke County 4-H Program!

Joining a new group or organization can sometimes be overwhelming at first. Learning the lingo, deadlines, 4-H projects, the 4-H Fair, and multiple mailings can be confusing to newer 4-H members and families. The Purdue Extension Starke County Office is hoping to help answer questions about the program through mailings to all 1st year 4-H members and by providing the Starke County 4-H Family Guide to all 4-H members.

A letter provided in February 2021 to all 1st year 4-H members, both Exploring and Regular 4-H, is provided below along with a sample of the White Achievement Sheet. The letter discusses lingo we use in the 4-H Program and introduces the Starke County 4-H Program.

A second letter provided in May 2021 to all 1st year 4-H members, both Exploring and Regular 4-H.

The 4-H Fair follow up letter sent August 2021 is below.

The Starke County 4-H Family Guide is attached below.

You can always contact the Purdue Extension Starke County Office at 574-772-9141 or email Julia at jwickert@purdue.edu with any questions about the 4-H Program!
