Urban Agriculture Winter Programs

Registration is now open for the Urban Agriculture Winter programs! Purdue Extension Marion County is hosting a series of 4 winter programs around agriculture, farming, and gardening. Whether you're a beginner or experienced farmer or gardener there is a program for you. 

COVID-19 Precaution: Masks are required at all times for indoor events sponsored by Purdue Extension Marion County.

Urban Farming:

The goal of the Urban Farming Signature program is to support gardeners and farmers with varying levels of experience and help them gain agricultural knowledge and skills to assess the challenges and opportunities of farming in urban soils while maximizing the productivity of the produce they grow.

Beginning Farmer: How to Plant, Support and Grow your Farm 

Are you a farmer, but eager to enhance and improve your management practices? Are you interested in starting a farm, but unsure of how to get started or where you can find help? Purdue Extension's online Beginning Farmer Workshop can help put you on a path to success!

January 13, 2022 - March 10, 2022 (Thursdays)

This six-week course is a discussion-based, interactive workshop bringing women growers together to learn from experts in the urban agriculture production, financial management, human resources, marketing, and the legal field. It focuses on building a sustainable urban agricultural business.
