Beginning Farmer

Are you just starting to farm or considering starting a farming operation?  Are you unsure of how to get started or where you can find help or perhaps looking to better define where your new operation is headed?   

The virtual Beginning Farmer program can help put you on a path to success! During the series you’ll learn about: 

•  Addressing the realities of starting a farm
• Assessing your farming assets
• Defining realistic goals for your operation
• Creating feasible plans to achieve your goals   

Participants will have the opportunity to hear from Purdue Extension Educators and established farmers on a range of topics including asset mapping, goal setting, finding resources, and more.  Outside the weekly workshop sessions, you’ll complete individual work to give you a clear perspective on planning farm projects and moving forward with confidence.
