Feeling overwhelmed?

In the short term stress can be beneficial giving you a surge of adrenaline for energy and increased focus. On the other hand, chronic, long term stress can wreak havoc on our mind as well as our body. If you are feeling overwhelmed, know that it doesn't have to be that way. There are a number of steps you can take that range from self-help, social support and professional counseling. The attached documents may be useful to you in identifying your signs and symptoms of stress and creating an action plan to mitigate the stressful effects you may be feeling. These publications could also be good conversation starters for talking with someone you are concerned about.
