Manual
You will use your manual every year you are in this project. This is a County Project only.
County Exhibition Requirements
Beginner: Grades 3-5.
Exhibit one poster. (See General Poster Exhibit rules in handbook) If you are in this level for more than one year, you should select a different topic or a different sport each year.
Choose one of the following titles for your poster:
- "Safety Rules For _______”: (i.e. Tennis, Rugby, Swimming, Archery, Golf, etc.)
Explain the safety needed for the game – NOT the rules to play.
Explain the precautions to be used in this sport.
- "Equipment Needed For ________”
- "Basic Skills to Develop For _______"
- "Exercise Value of ______"
Fitness health required for an athlete for that sport.
Intermediate: Grades 6-8.
Exhibit one poster. (See General Poster Exhibit rules in handbook) If you are in this level for more than one year, you should select a different topic or a different sport or person each year.
Choose one of the following for your poster:
- Exhibit a poster on the history of a sport.
- Exhibit a poster on the history of the rule changes of a sport.
- Exhibit poster on an important person who has influenced a sport. Tell how he/she has helped shape the sport to be what it is now.
- Exhibit a poster on the person who invented a sport.
Advanced: Grades 9-12.

- Exhibit a poster on the life-style an athlete should maintain to remain healthy and competitive. (Examples here include nutrition and diet, exercise, drug abuse, etc.)
- Exhibit a poster on a present or past sports person. Include a description of his/her career.
- Exhibit a poster on the major rule changes on a particular sport from an elementary level to a professional level. (For example: Little League vs. Professional Baseball)
