County Exhibit
The Construction Toy project allows 4-H members to create projects with Legos, K-Nex, Construx, Erector, Tinker Toys, Lincoln Logs, Duplo blocks, craft sticks, etc.
- Beginner: Grades 3-5. Kits are recommended. Construct an item such as an animal, a person, plane, car, truck, or a statue.
- Intermediate: Grades 6-8. Work on your creativity. Design your own model. NO KITS. Construct a structure, a scene, or some form of transportation (car, plane, etc.)
- Advanced: Grades 9-12. Construct a tractor on a farm, a space shuttle with lunar module, windmill and house, etc. with moveable or motorized part(s). NO KITS.
All Divisions
- Exhibit may be of any design.
- Exhibit must be no taller than 24 inches high.
- Exhibit must rest on sturdy base which is no more than 24 inches square. It can be smaller.
- Members should construct a more advanced project each year.
- Blocks may be glued together, but isn’t mandatory.
State Fair Exhibit
The GRAND CHAMPION is eligible for the Indiana State Fair. It will be the responsibility of the parents to see that the project is taken and picked up from the Indiana State Fair. Exhibitor (or parent) MUST let office know if the child will Exhibit at State Fair. Project Card 4-H 618 A-W must be attached to the project going to the State Fair.
