County Exhibit

  • Beginner – Division 1 Grade 3-5: Exhibit picture poster of your collection to consist of 10 items, along with a notebook containing your completed record sheets. (Collection Record Sheet, Project Question Sheet, and 4-H Collections Data Information).  You must add a minimum of 5 items each year to a current collection.
  • Intermediate – Division 2 Grade 6-8: Exhibit picture poster continuing with your Beginner collection with at least 5 new items, along with a continuation of Record Sheets as described in Beginner Section. OR, begin a new collection with 15 items, along with a notebook containing your completed record sheet information as outlined in the Beginner section.
  • Advanced – Division 3 Grade 9 and above: Exhibit a picture poster continuing with your Intermediate collection with as least 5 new items.  Along with a continuation of Record Sheets as described in Beginner section. OR, begin a new collection with 20 items, along with a notebook containing your completed record sheet information as outlined in the Beginner section.

ALL DIVISIONS: Pictures are to be labeled.  Notebook should contain pictures of collection items from previous years.  Each additional year in this category requires the addition of 5 items to the collection.  Poster to be mounted on hard backing and covered with a clear plastic material.  A picture showing your collection display at home may be added to your poster.  Each additional year in this category requires the addition of 5 items to the collection.  Your record sheets, story, questions and collection record are to be displayed and will be judged as part of your exhibit.

Judging Guidelines

DO NOT display your collection.  Actual collections will be disqualified and receive participation ribbons.  Judging will be based on neatness and completeness of records.  The judge will review your story, taking your age into account.  The judge will look for originality, arrangement of display and/or notebook.  In your second year and above the judge will consider your growth as a collector.  See the Poster Guidelines for additional poster requirements.
