In October, Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant kicked off a multi-meeting series focused on creating an action plan that will guide the future of the Cedar Creek watershed, a watershed just north of Ft. Wayne. This was a hybrid event, featuring the integration of a remote presenter.
Community members learned about the history and current condition of Cedar Creek from several perspectives including agriculture, recreation, and the environment.
Several presenters joined the socially distanced event. Twenty-two participants heard from Acres Land Trust, the IDNR, Purdue’s Climate Change Research Center, and local government. A question and answer session followed the presentation.
