Purdue Extension Community Development
Purdue Extension Community Development’s mission is to strengthen the capacity of local leaders, residents, businesses and organizations to build resilient, inclusive and sustainable communities through research-based resources and processes.
Indiana Office of Energy Development - OED
The Indiana Office of Energy Development (OED) serves as the state’s energy office that guides Indiana’s energy policy, administers energy grants and provides general energy education. OED is a nonregulatory agency whose mission is to support the development of a diverse and balanced portfolio of energy resources.
Center for Business and Economic Research, Ball State University
The Center for Business and Economic Research at Ball State University conducts relevant, timely research on a wide range of economic issues that affect Indiana and beyond. Since 1970, it has been a trusted resource for public officials, policymakers, journalists, community leaders, and citizens.
Center for Energy Education – C4EE
The Center for Energy Education established in 2015 is a nonprofit organization and center for renewable energy research, education, and workforce development. They offer a wide range of education programs, interactive workshops, and classes about renewable energy for all ages.
CN Consulting
CN Consulting is the independent consulting firm owned by Connie Neininger. Neininger started the consulting business in early 2020 to focus on rural economic development and renewable energy. Her goal is to support rural communities in utilizing their agricultural assets to enhance their regional food system, filling in gaps in the local supply chain, and increasing value-added agriculture. Through CN Consulting, Neininger strives to provide fact-based information on renewable energy to local elected officials so they can develop balanced renewable energy policies and make informed decisions to support their community.
American Planning Association-Indiana – APA-IN
APA Indiana (APA-IN) is the state affiliate to the American Planning Association. The American Planning Association is an independent, not-for-profit educational organization that provides leadership in the development of all communities. The Indiana Chapter of the American Planning Association advocates good planning for making great communities. APA-IN exists to elevate and unite a diverse planning profession as it helps communities, their leaders and residents anticipate and meet the needs of a changing world.
Indiana University Public Policy Institute – IU PPI
The Indiana University Public Policy Institute (IU PPI) produces unbiased, high-quality research, analyses and policy guidance to effect positive change and improve the quality of life in communities across Indiana and the nation. As a multidisciplinary institute within the IU O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, PPI supports the Center for Health and Justice Research, the Center for Research on Inclusion and Social Policy and the Manufacturing Policy Initiative.
