Purdue's Department of Agricultural Economics has developed a website with resources for Family Businesses. The website contains valuable information regarding the four critical areas for business success: estate and personal financial planning, strategic business planning, leadership and succession planning and maintaining family bonds.
Purdue Extension will offer workshops on farmland lease law, farming liabilities, property rights, Indiana's Right to Farm law, real estate transfer taxation, land trusts, and conservation easements.
The workshops are designed for farmers, landowners, attorneys, accountants, and insurance providers.
Sessions will be held in Tipton, Wayne, Wells, and Parke counties from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm EST
Purdue Extension is gearing up to host the Market Manager Certificate Program training that will be in Indianapolis in Feb-Mar 2017. Farmers' Market Managers are encouraged to attend. Scholarships are offered.
