The Horse and Pony project aims to help 4-H members to develop leadership, initiative, self-reliance and sportsmanship. An important objective of this project is for the 4-H member to experience the pride of owning a horse or pony and being responsible for its management. The 4-H Horse and Pony project will help boys and girls develop an appreciation of horseback riding as a healthy and wholesome form of recreation.
