Purdue Extension-Howard County has been working with the Carver Community Center to educate youth about gardening and healthy living by using the garden-to-plate concept.
Do you want to have a vegetable garden but are not sure how to get started? This page has everything from how to do a soil sample, garden tips, as well as other wonderful resources.
Since 2003, the community Garden has harvested over 165,599 pounds of produce, all of which was donated to various organizations and food pantries in the Kokomo area. It serves as a learning lab to provide instruction to the general public on various gardening techniques.
Purdue Extension and Howard County Master Gardeners are offering a horticulture series as a brown bag lunch series starting at 12 Noon in room 101 in the Howard County Government Center located at 120 E Mulberry St. Bring your lunch and we will provide a drink and some great horticulture information over your lunch hour.
The Howard County Master Gardener Association is an organization that Master Gardeners can join after they have graduated the Master Garden classes as interns.
