Purdue Master Gardener Program Seeking New Crop of Volunteers
The Howard County Master Gardener Association is an organization that Master Gardeners can join after they have graduated the Master Garden classes as interns.
Howard County Master Gardener Classes is an intensive study of classes for the members. There are thirteen weeks of three hour classes. After successful completion of the class the members are Master Garden Interns and after volunteer hours they can become a Master Gardener.
Since 2003, the community Garden has harvested over 165,599 pounds of produce, all of which was donated to various organizations and food pantries in the Kokomo area. It serves as a learning lab to provide instruction to the general public on various gardening techniques.
