A Complete Fayette County Extension update!
This is a compilation of 4-H Trips & Awards in the county, area, and state in 2018.
With persistent, often heavy rainfall triggering flood alerts throughout Indiana during the last week of April and first week of May, many Hoosiers were concerned about possible damage to homes and newly planted grain crops. In response, Purdue University's Extension Disaster Education Network has compiled a list of online resources that could help Indiana homeowners and farmers coping with the storms' aftermath.
This intern will be involved in piloting a learning garden at Roberts Park in Connersville called Project Grow! The idea is to build raised garden beds for the age groups represented in the Discovery Kids Program (1st-6th grade). The Discovery Program is a summer program offered by the Fayette County Parks Department and is open to youth from all over the county. We will run weekly activities with youth connecting gardening and nutrition to other Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)
