Purdue Extension to Host Woodland Management Workshop
Purdue Extension in Whitley County will host a woodland management workshop on April 27 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Would you like to improve the health of your woodlands? Do you struggle with invasive species? What management practices could you employ to increase the value of your timber stand? Have you set management goals for your woodland properties? These and other questions will be answered by Purdue forester, Lenny Farlee, during the day.
The workshop will begin at Thorncreek Township Fire Department, 821 East 500 North, Columbia City, IN (park in rear). After lunch, we will travel to Purdue’s Harrold Woodland, a Purdue property just west of Etna, to view woodland management practices used on that property.
To enroll, visit https://extension.purdue.edu/Whitley/article/36498 to download a flyer/registration form. The cost is $10, which includes lunch. Registration deadline is April 20. Walking will be required when we visit the woodland property.
