Dear Tippecanoe 4-H Auction Supporter,
We have all faced many unforeseen challenges this year and many believed the fairgrounds construction would be the biggest obstacle for the 2020 Tippecanoe 4-H Fair. Since the pandemic, we had to reshape the fair in its entirety. For the safety of our 4-Hers, their families, and the community, we made the hard decision to cancel all the normal fair events except for limited 4-H judging that will be closed to the public. This means no food, no carnival, and no traditional livestock auction for 2020.
All of our lives have been disrupted in this pandemic and our 4-Hers are no different. They continue working hard to raise their livestock and will exhibit them with only parents and other 4-Hers present. Although there will not be a traditional livestock auction, we still want to provide the opportunity to reward the livestock champions, the 10-year members, and the seniors who will not have another opportunity to participate in the 4-H livestock auction.
To provide this opportunity, we are developing a website that allows you to contribute in a variety of ways.
The champions and list of eligible 4-Hers are on the donation site as well as attached to the bottom of this article. Donors may make online contributions through Tuesday, August 4th. List of 4-Hers below has been updated 7-30-2020
We are very sympathetic to our 4-H auction supporters and understand many of you are not in the same financial position to donate as you have before. We appreciate your support and want to thank you for helping these hard working 4-Hers of Tippecanoe County. We look forward to seeing you in person at the new coliseum in 2021.
Thank you,
Jason Buck
