Food Preservation Workshops

foodpreserve.jpgPurdue Extension Spencer County in conjunction with Gary's Place Community Garden will be hosting in-person food preservation workshops on August 17 and September 21. Spaces are limited and you must pre-register. These will be held at the Spencer County Youth and Community Center at 1101 E County Rd 800 N, Chrisney, IN 47611. The topic for August 17th is water bath canning and salsa. You must register by August 12th for this class. The topic for Sept 21st is preserving without canning. You must register by September 16th for this class. The cost is $10 per class. Scholarships are available if necessary.
