Shopping Apps to Save

Hello Holiday Friends,

First of all, happy Halloween!

What a rollercoaster of shopping opportunities we have been offered this year! And while Black Friday is usually the best deal day of the season, this year we are seeing a host of stores that sound like they are offering great sales this year. The stores are luring us in early with Dark Friday and Pre-Black Friday sales which can be financially dangerous if we are not keeping track of how much money we are spending on these great deals.

Here are a few apps that can help sort out the best deals for what you want to buy and ramp up your gift-giving game:

• Krazy Koupon Lady: This app will alert you on sales. It can also teach you a lot of saving tricks that you can use year-round.
• RetailMeNot: This app shares sale information and some store coupons.
• Fetch: this app does not necessarily save you money, but you can earn points for receipts. The points can be redeemed for gift cards.
• Other apps that offer cash back and some in-app coupons: Rakuten and Ibotta
• Drawnames.com: I have found this app to be so helpful! This app will organize your gift exchange. Your gift receivers can also create a gift list which makes gifting even easier!
• Blackfriday.com: Apps and websites like this one will show you the Black Friday ads and some pre-Black Friday ads weeks before the stores start giving you the chance to compare prices from store to store.

Of course, many stores have their own apps and websites that can alert you to great savings. I usually take a few minutes each weekend to skim through the apps of my favorite stores so that I don’t miss a great price on something I am hunting for.

In the spirit of Halloween, let me leave you with this scary thought: there are only 23 days left until Black Friday. Eek!
