When did you start working at Extension and what is your job title?
I started as an HHS Educator on November 7, 2022.
Where did you go to college and what was your major?
I graduated from Purdue University with a BS in Public Health with a concentration in Health Policy and Management in 2020. Then, in December 2021 I earned my Master of Public Health with a concentration Family and Community Health from Purdue University as well.
What was the "aha" moment that got you interested in working with Purdue Extension?
I began my college career as an Athletic Training Major, I then quickly realized that health outreach and education was where my passion was. So, I pivoted to Public Health and this position allows me to dive deeper into these topics and help the community I grew up in.
What is an app on your phoe you can't live without?
YouTube, I don't watch a lot of "traditional" media anymore.
Who inspired you the most in your career?
My dad.
What is your favorite restaurant?
In Indy, I have a few. Hot Boys in Fountain Square and Bluebeard in Fletcher Place are toward the top of the list. Black Sparrow in Lafayette is my go-to place when I am back on Purdue's campus.
What do you tell Alexa to play most often?
A YouTuber I watch made an album unde the pseudonym James and the Shame called Human Overboard. I have had it on loop for a while.
What is one word you would describe PEMC?
Growing?
It's your last dinner party on Earth, you can invite 3 people that are not of blood relation to join your table. These people can be alive or dead. Who are they?
Colm Wilkinson, Gustavo Dudamel, and Eva Noblezada, these three music minds would probably lead to very interesting conversations!
Last question, do you believe in ghosts? What about aliens?
I do believe in ghosts, its fun for there to be some mystery in life. I think the universe is far too big for there to not be life somewhere besides Earth. They might not be green, but they probably exist somewhere out there.
