PEMC hosts first 4-H STEAM Break Camp at 16 Tech Machyne

Purdue Extension Marion County (PEMC,) hosted their first STEAM Break Camp at 16 Tech Machyne from March 28th until April 1st.

About 20 youth joined PEMC and the Marion County 4-H team at the makerspace for an inside look and an opportunity to make something of their own! The 4-H team enjoyed a learning-rich week with youth from the  local YMCAs and Boys & Girls Club. During their time at the makerspace, youth learned the design thinking process and discovered how to use tools and technologies including the band saw, drill press, Glowforge laser printer, 3-D printer, and more!

By the end of the week, the newest 4-H'ers used the skills they learned to create a habitat for their favorite neighborhood animal.
