ServSafe Manger - Knox County 1-Day Class & Examination

Purdue Extension-Knox County is presenting a ServSafe Food Manager 1-Day Class & Examination on June 2, 2023.  The event will take place at the VU Agricultural Center.  The fees are $165 for training, manual & exam, $115 for just the manual & exam or $65 for the exam only.  

ServSafe Food Protection Manager is the highest ServSafe certification.  It satisfies Indiana requirements to become a Certified Food Protection manager and focuses on five aspects:

• Foodborne microorganisms and allergens
• Personal hygiene
• Purchasing, receiving, and storage
• Preparing, cooking, and serving
• Facilities, cleaning/sanitation, and managing pests

 You must score 70 percent or greater on the exam to earn the certificate. The certification is valid for five years. Two IDs are required to take the exam; one must be a photo ID.
