4-H Camp Information

4-H Camp will take place from June 12-15, 2022 at Shakamak State Park in Greene County.  We will be camping with 4-H’ers from Sullivan, Owen, and Vigo Counties. Daily activities will include boating, recreation, crafts, swimming, and LOTS OF FUN!  More details will be released as planning continues.

Camp Counselors: Grades 8-12

To apply for a 4-H Camp Counselor position, fill out the application and return it to the Purdue Extension– Clay County Office by 4:00 pm on March 30th. You can also email it back to korniak@purdue.edu by the deadline. You must be enrolled in Clay County 4-H! 

If selected, you will be expected to attend two counselor training sessions. The sessions will take place on April 22 at the Owen County Fairgrounds and May 6 at the Sullivan County Fairgrounds. Both trainings will be held from 5:30- 8:30 p.m. If a school activity prevents you from attending, a time must be scheduled to make up the information. 4-H Counselors are asked to pay $30 to cover your t-shirt, meals at counselor training, and other camp expenses. The Clay County 4-H Council will cover the remainder of your camp fee, as long as you properly complete training and counselor responsibilities at camp.
