Child Care professionals can learn, network at Wabash Heartland Child Care Summit

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue Extension and its partners will offer training and networking opportunities to area child care providers during the Wabash Heartland Child Care Summit. 

The summit will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 22 at the Beck Agricultural Center, located at 4550 U.S. 52 W. in West Lafayette. The event is open to all child care providers, including family home-based, ministries and centers in Benton, Carroll, Clinton, Fountain, Tippecanoe, Warren and White counties. Language services will be available. 

Attendees can learn from an expert-led workshops, interactive sessions, expert panel discussions, networking opportunities and state agency vendors.  

The event will also offer additional benefits to attendees, such as: 

  • Incentives to support their child care operation 
  • Door prizes 
  • Professional development training hour 

A limited number of professional development stipends will also be available for those in the seven-county region. 

This summit was supported by a Lilly Endowment grant and was organized by Purdue Extension with support from partners Purdue University Office of Engagement, Ivy Tech and Right Steps.
