August Corn & Soybean Outlook Recording Available Now

Purdue Center for Commercial Agriculture's corn and soybean outlook update webinar followed release of USDA's August Crop Production and World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) reports. The August 13th webinar, hosted by Purdue ag economists Michael Langemeier, Nathanael Thompson and James Mintert, reviewed new information from USDA and implications for both the current and upcoming crop years' marketing strategies. The team discussed crop conditions, corn and soybean exports, ethanol demand, ending stock estimates, corn and soybean basis, and farm income projections.

The recorded version of the program is available for viewing on the Center's website, where a copy of the slides presented during the webinar are available also, or on the Center's YouTube channel (don't forget to subscribe). A companion podcast episode on the Purdue Commercial AgCast is also available on the website or any platform where you access your podcasts.

Each month the Center will host a free webinar providing an update on the corn and soybean outlook following release of USDA’s monthly Crop Production and World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) reports. Mark your calendar for the next monthly outlook webinar on Monday, September 13 for an updated crop outlook following the September release of USDA's Crop Production and WASDE reports. Learn more >>
