The next Master Gardener classes conducted in Marion County will begin in September of 2017.

What: Purdue Extension-Marion County Master Gardener Classes

Where: Indiana State Fairgrounds, Discovery Hall, Marion County (Indianapolis, IN)

When: mid-September - early December, 2017

There will be 19 sessions in the 2017 Master Gardener program in Marion County. The topics are: 1) Master Gardener Orientation, 2) Plant Science, 3) Soils and Fertilizers, 4) Pest Management, Insect Identification & Control, 5) Disease Identification & Control, Plant Problem Diagnosis, 6) Animal Damage Management and Weed Identification & Control, 7) Pesticide Use and Safety, 8) Lawn Care, 9) Home Landscape Design, 10) Plant Selection and Trees & Shrubs, 11) Landscape Maintenance, 12) Pruning Trees & Shrubs, 13) Vegetable Gardening, 14) Fruit Gardening, 15) House Plants, 16) Volunteer Opportunities, 17) Annual and Perennial Flowers, Groundcovers, 18) Flowering Bulbs and Ornamental Grasses, and 19) Exam/Evaluation/Makeup Session.

Registration materials for the two Fall 2017 classes will be available in the summer of 2017. Master Gardener Class 2017-1 is held during the afternoon and Master Gardener Class 2017-2 meets in the evening. There is no charge for parking at either class.
