4-H offers many opportunities for youth in addition to projects and club activities! We hope that you consider attending one (or more) of our many 4-H Trips!
Step 1: Check out your options and complete the application! Look over the packet “4-H Trips 2023” that contains all the details about the trips offered. The PURPLE application asks you to choose up to 3 trips you are interested in, rank them from 1 to 3, and then explain why you would like to attend.
Step 2: Send the application to us by March 17! If a trip you selected requires more paperwork, we will send that to you if you are selected to attend. This is a very important deadline as the 4-H Youth Council will meet shortly afterwards to discuss funding and trip placement! Be sure to get your paperwork in on time!!!
Step 3: We’ll keep you in the loop! Trip participants will be selected the last week of March and will be notified in early April. As for funding, you may not be selected to attend every trip under the sponsorship of the 4-H Youth Council or sponsors we have. However, that does not mean you are unable to attend. If you would like to attend a trip that you are not selected for, you may still pay your own way to attend. Payments for trips are due after you have been notified as to what trips you were selected to attend. Some trips will require additional paperwork as well.
NOTE: If spots are still open for 4-H Trips in late spring (specifically 4-H Academy, 4-H Round-Up, and State Jr. Leader Conference), a second round of applications will be sent to 4-H members in an attempt to fill available spots. Spots fill quickly though, so the sooner you submit your application, the sooner you can reserve your spot!
