I appreciate your interest in our next Extension Master Gardener Spring 2025 Class.

Our state has developed a virtual EMG class agenda in this flyer (here, it opens a new window). The class topics may be switched up when finalized, but the dates are the same. Please see all the information on the class's time, dates, duration, and cost for one or two people in this cover letter (opens in a new window). The Purdue Extension Master Gardener Program Policy Guide overviews the entire program and may answer your questions.

Our class at Hancock County is hybrid, meaning you can attend in person at our office or join virtually via Zoom. Attendance is mandatory for both options, as this is a synchronous class. This video (opens a new window) shares more about what hybrid means in this class.

Next Steps:
  1. Review the Purdue Extension Master Gardener Program Policy Guide:  Purdue EMG Program Policy Guide (opens in new window)
  2. Please read the EMG Basic Training Cover Letter (found here, opens a new window) to learn about the refund policy for this class and other information about it.
  3. Read, sign, and return Form EMG-1 Application and Agreement (found here, opens new window) by email or drop it off at the office.
  4. Show evidence of a government-issued photo ID (allow us to see your driver's license to verify your identity). You can come to the office, Skype, zoom, or Facetime us at the office. Bobbie, my assistant,  will work with you to make this appointment to see your face and ID.

Once we reach the minimum number of students for the class, we will send you a CVENT link to pay your registration online.

The State EMG Coordinator, John Orick, will send you a WebEx link to start your first class on February 4, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm Eastern Time. Attendance for each class is mandatory as part of the learning process.

We will meet at our office (address below) or virtually on Zoom for our County Connection. These sessions will take place:
  • Before the state meeting: 6:00 pm - 6:30 pm
  • After the state meeting: 8:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Please let us know if you have questions or concerns about these requirements.

Important Dates:

Office hours and location: Monday-Friday, 8 am - 4 pm at 972 E. Park Ave, Greenfield, IN (north of Hancock County 4-H Fairgrounds).
