Junior Leaders are those 4-H members who are at least in the 7th grade and are enrolled in the Junior Leader project. Junior Leader members belong to a county-wide club which meets throughout the year for educational and social activities. In addition to belonging to the county organization, the Junior Leader member should assist the local club leader where possible. This may include: assisting with projects within a club, helping enroll members, encouraging 4-Hers to complete projects or assisting in planning programs, demonstrations, exhibits, projects and recreation.
Required activities include:
- Working at least one shift in the Jr. Leader Food Stand
- AND 4 other county activities (Attending 2 Jr. Leader Meetings can count as 2 activities.)
Members completing required activities become eligible to participate in Jr. Leader completion activities.
April – No Jr. Leader Meeting
May – Adopt A Highway Clean-Up
