Youth will learn about fish biology, proper fish handling, fish species, rod and reel assembly, and water safety, as well as participating in a fishing contest. All equipment will be provided by the Department of Natural Resources. Youth should come prepared with sunscreen and appropriate clothing, water and refreshments will be provided. Parents are welcome to stay and observe the workshops as well.
