Purdue Extension-Perry County has addressed new needs in different ways as the pandemic changed the world in 2020.
4-H prepares youth to be productive members of society by teaching life skills and career preparation and by instilling a sense of community responsibility. Hands-on learning opportunities allow youth to select projects and activities that fit their interests and encourage progressive skill development.
When the call for help went out for people to help lift and carry 2600 boxes of food that weighed 25 pounds, the Jr. Leaders stepped up and helped. Heat, rain, and face coverings didn't deter them from helping Catholic Charities unload trucks with donated boxes of dairy and produce. Leopold Gang and Gatchel 4-H Clubs had several members clean up the roadway in their area.

Yet, there are so many lessons for us all in the way the world has changed. Hopefully, you are adjusting and finding some good in these changes.
