Recently there have been some questions about Tax Exempt Status for 4-H Clubs with regard to State Sales Tax. Below is the official policy Purdue 4-H

Tax exempt status of 4-H Units/Clubs 1. In August 2013, Purdue University was granted a Group Exemption Number (GEN), 5924, by the IRS which provides federal tax exemption status to the 4-H Clubs and 4-H Affiliates in Indiana which have agreed to be under Purdue University's general supervision
Throughout the year different opportunities for 4-H'ers are available relating to animal science. We will share those opportunities here on the website, some will be hosted by 4-H while others are community events that may be of interest to our members.
The Marion County 4-H Advisory Council is certifying organization for the President's Volunteer Service Awards. We would like to recognize our volunteers and youth for their efforts. Adult volunteers can track their hours volunteering for 4-H. Youth can track hours volunteering for 4-H or other community service that they do as part of an individual community service project (please make sure that your 4-H leader can verify your hours of volunteering).
