This workshop will provide detailed guidance to prepare your Achievement Resume exhibit. Achievement Resume is an outstanding project for anyone in 4-H, as it provides experience for members to capably and confidently prepare resumes and applications for scholarships, jobs, and competitive volunteer/internship opportunities. Workshop topics will include methods for identifying skills acquired through your 4-H projects, how to highlight those skills with effective writing tools, and how to put it all together for a great project entry! Latecomers are welcome if you can’t be there by 6:00 pm.

*4-H’ers will learn to properly build a rocket from a kit and ideas for making a show rocket. Sample rocket building materials and rockets will be available for viewing. Workshop will be most beneficial for first and second year members. Workshop will show how to prepare and light the grill and how to safely prepare and handle the foods. Hygiene techniques and safe grilling methods will also be discussed. Question and answer session while families grill and eat lunch. All supplies are provided. We have been busy planning workshops for you this year! Please plan to attend all three, we will cover a variety of different topics at each workshop. We will have workbooks, vet forms and cat knowledge study guides at each workshop.

April 30, Hall B; We will be having vet tech Sandy come in and talking about cat care basic’s, vaccines, lots of other helpful information for the project. (No cats)
May 23, Annex; We will be discussing posters, workbooks, judging etiquette and more. (No cats)
June 17 6:30-8 pm, Annex; The last workshop will be all about the cat show. How to hold your cat, groom your cat, more show etiquette. If your Vet form is filled out and signed you may bring your cat to this workshop!
Come to the workshops, new to the project or returning members. We will be going over SO MUCH useful information to help you through this project and cat show.
Regarding the Cage Decorating Contest
- Cage measures approximately 22” x 22” x 27”
- The cage decorating contest is optional but your cat’s cage must be covered on all sides for the show.
- Office clips or clothes line clips are recommended to hold the material in place.

Join us on Monday, June 24, at 7:00-8:30 p.m. in Hall C. We will be facilitating a mock judging workshop for microwave. Each 4-H’er is encouraged to bring a test project or two that they are considering for their fair exhibit. The leaders will facilitate the judging of projects by 4-H’ers and provide helpful hints and feedback. The goal is to provide some specific help and guidance for the 4-H’er, help them experience the evaluation process, and identify what may resolve any issues. Some sample exhibits will be on hand for participants to test their skills and use if they are unable to bring their own project. Handouts and resources will be on hand for 4-H’ers to use. This will be our bird ID workshop. 4-H'ers may bring their birds or just questions about where or how to enter the birds. It is the responsibility of the 4-H'er to have their birds entered correctly. Birds not entered under correct breed or class may be disqualified by the judges.
We have been invited to visit Dr. Angela Lennox at her practice for a workshop on veterinary medicine as it relates to poultry. Dr. Lennox is a fantastic resource for Avian medicine. We will meet at her office at the address below on May 30th at 6:30pm. Please bring your questions. This is an amazing opportunity to get them answered!

All chickens and turkeys over one year of age must be blood tested on one of these dates even if they originated from a NPIP approved flock. If they are under one year of age, they do not need to be tested but the NPIP certification must be turned in. For those of you that purchased from Tractor Supply we were able to get the certificate so those birds under one year of age will not need to be blood tested.
