Purdue Extension Partnering with ISDA and IRHA on a Farm Stress and Mental Health Grant

The Indiana State Department of Agriculture (ISDA) was recently awarded a $500,000 grant from the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) Farm and Ranch Stress Assistance Network.  ISDA is partnering with Purdue Extension and the Indiana Rural Health Association (IRHA) to reduce mental health stigma and connect individuals engaged in agriculture-related occupations to existing stress assistance programs.

The Purdue Extension Farm Stress Team will continue to advance our mission of providing farm stress and mental health resources and education to rural Indiana, and to help improve service in this critical area of need. We will be developing training and resources to help call center workers respond to the needs of farmers, farm families, and agribusinesses.
