Knox County ServSafe Manager Training & Exam, June 7, 2024

ServSafe Manager Certification satisfies Indiana requirements to become a Certified Food Protection manager.  Purdue Extension-Knox County is offering this course on June 7, 2024.  The course will begin at 8:30 am and conclude at 3:00 pm EST.  Please see the attachment for more information including prices and times.

ServSafe Food Protection Manager is the highest ServSafe certification.  It satisfies Indiana requirements to become a Certified Food Protection manager and focuses on five aspects:

  • Foodborne microorganisms and allergens
  • Personal hygiene
  • Purchasing, receiving, and storage
  • Preparing, cooking, and serving
  • Facilities, cleaning/sanitation, and managing pests

 You must score 70 percent or greater on the exam to earn the certificate. The certification is valid for five years. Two IDs are required to take the exam; one must be a photo ID.
