Franklin County Extension Board

Each County Extension Program in Indiana is supported by the work of a County Extension Board which provides guidance on the overall direction of programming within the community.

Extension Board Members:

  • Attend meetings held four times per year.
  • Talk and listen to key stakeholders to assess the needs of community.
  • Advise extension staff on community needs
  • Assist in planning of annual extension meeting to highlight successful programming
  • Provide feedback on hiring of new Extension Educators.
  • Serve on special committees as needed.
  • Provide feedback through annual program review.
  • Support and encourage Extension staff in programming efforts.
  • Serve as advocates for Purdue Extension in the community.
  • Help promote Purdue Extension and local programming efforts.
