Our youth are our future so investing in them is so very important! One of the ways our Educators invest in our youth is by planning, organizing, conducting and grading FFA/4-H CDE's; also known as Career Development Events. Pictured is our ANR/4-H Educator Heather Caldwell who helped work an area soils event recently. During this contest, youth were quizzed on how/why soil respond differently to management practices, as well as how soil properties affect crop growth and homesite dwellings. Qualifying youth advance to State and National contests! Just as students practice for this contest for several months, 4-H Educators spend months preparing for this event to make it run smoothly for the 11 local counties in our area.
