Nuisance Wildlife Management Workshop Will Help You With Problem Critters in or Near Ag Fields and Wetlands
Farmers and homeowners have had to deal with nuisance wildlife such as deer, groundhogs, geese, and wild turkeys for years.
If you find yourself having to deal with damage from these types of wildlife, plan to attend Purdue Extension’s Nuisance Wildlife Management Workshop, June 26, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., at the Department of Natural Resources Northeast Regional Office, 1353 S. Governors Dr., Columbia City, IN.
Jeff Burbrink, Extension Educator in LaGrange County, will be a featured speaker. Jeff has taught this subject to numerous Master Gardener classes, and now we bring this subject to you! Also speaking will be Jessica Merkling, Indiana Department of Natural Resources Urban Wildlife Biologist. Jessica will be able to handle legal questions, such as whether you need a permit from DNR to employ a certain management method. Lethal and non-lethal management strategies will be discussed.
There is no cost for the program, but pre-registration is required. Register by June 19 by calling Purdue Extension in Whitley County, 260-244-7615, or visit http://purdue.link/Wildlife25.
If you are in need of accommodations to attend this program, or if you need an interpreter or translator, please contact John Woodmansee at the number above by June 16.
