Your Land, Your Legacy – Women’s Forum

Washington County women landowners are invited to a free conservation discussion and field tour on Friday, October 10, 2025 in Salem, IN called “Your Land, Your Legacy.”

For more than ten years, the Washington County Community Foundation and the Washington County Conservation Partnership has offered this peer-to-peer, informal discussion program format to allow women landowners and land users to discuss their individual farm management goals. 

The program is Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Awareness Washington County Building (198 Joseph St., Salem, IN 47167) at 9:00 am with registration starting at 8:30 am. Attendance is capped at 25 participants. The afternoon will include a field trip to Gottbrath Farms and Roell’s Rolling Acres.  The program will end at the Awareness Washington County Building with refreshments at 3:30 pm.

Program topics include: cropland management, land leases, and incorporating conservation practices, no matter the farm’s size.

“Your Land, Your Legacy” is sponsored by the Washington County Community Foundation, Washington County Soil & Water Conservation District, Purdue Extension, USDA-Farm Service Agency, and the Natural Resources Conservation Service.  Staff from these organizations will be represented at the program and available to assist you.
