Washington County Open Sheep Show

The Washington County Sheep Association and Washington County Fair Board are hosting an Open Sheep Show on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at the Washington County Fairgrounds Livestock Pavilion (118 Fair St., Salem).

There are classes for Market Lambs, Breeding Ewes, Rams and Showmanship. Sheep may begin arriving at 8:00 am. Weigh-in is from 8:30-10:00 am. The show will start at 12:30 pm with showmanship classes. Anyone needing rules or more information should contact the Purdue Extension - Washington County Office at 812-883-4601.

The Sheep Association will sell lamb concessions along with chips and drinks beginning at 11:00 am and continuing until 4:00 pm or the end of the show. Cinnamon rolls and drinks are available for breakfast.

The public is invited to attend the show and enjoy a delicious lamb meal.

The Washington County Open Goat Show is also on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at the Washington County Fairgrounds Goat Barn with registration from 7:00-9:00 am and the show beginning at 11:00 am.  Contact the Purdue Extension – Washington County Office for more information.
